Cleveland Cavaliers Trade Ilgauskas for Jamison
The NBA is already on its way to the playoff season that is why a lot of teams of the league are already doing major changes on their team by trading some of their players. The last day of trading players is due tomorrow wherein there are already a lot of rumors around the league. One of the teams that are considering trading one of their players to improve their team is the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are planning to trade Zydrunas Ilgauskas for the Wizards forward Antawn Jamison. Along with the trading option is the chance for the Wizards to get Cleveland’s 1st round draft pick.
Jamison is already now on his 12th year as a professional basketball player and he have already played for a couple of teams ever since he became part of the NBA. He was the 4th pick of the Toronto Raptors during the 1998 NBA Draft but he was moved to play for the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Vince Carter. He has spent five years playing for the Warriors averaging a career high of 24.9 points per game during the 2000-01 seasons. After playing for the Warriors, he was again traded by the team to the Washington Wizards. He has helped the team to win their games wherein they have improved their winning records to a 45 wins and 37 losses.
He handled well his career finishing a consistent double figure points per game. His presence on the court will surely be a great help for the Cleveland but will it be enough to win their very first championship title? If the rumors are true Antawn will have to adjust to his new team and perform well like he always does.
Antawn will be joining Lebron James in fulfilling his dream to give their team the chance to enter the final season and became this year’s NBA champions.
