Police Searched for the UB Gunman
The University of Buffalo was alarmed because of a suspected gunman roaming around their premises particularly on their library. When news reached the police they immediately reported to the place wherein they forced to evacuate those who are inside the library. The report was made when the security has seen a suspicious man entering the school grounds through their camera that is attached around the University.
After the report was made, the security personnel alarmed the school management through email and the students were also given notice to stay away from the library through text messaging. The incident took the police almost 4 hours of thorough searched wherein they perform a room-by-room search. They have taken the situation seriously by going through all the rooms on a six-storey building. However, there were no arrest of gunman was made the school still decided to cancel all the classes for safety purposes and has declared that they will resume on Wednesday.
The description of the gunman that was given by the University management to the police was a white man with short brown hair, with a height of 5ft 6’ tall, wearing a Navy pea coat, has an approximately age of 20 years old, and was supposedly carrying a rifle. Police has searched all those who are around the school premises but no one was fit to the description given especially there were no rifle found around the University ground.
The library of the University of Buffalo is the largest among the other State University in New York system. It is also open to the public that’s why there are a lot of people who can visit their library. Police said that any situation similar to the University of Buffalo’s case must be reported to them immediately to prevent any danger to other individuals.
