John Mayer Black Women Issue

10 February 2010 No Comment

John Mayer’s popularity emerged when he launched his first album, entitled “Room for Squares,” which was released in 2001. He even became more popular because of his song “Your Body is a Wonderland.” The height of his career as a singer continues as he launched three more albums. His last album that was released last year 2009 entitled “Battle Studies” became number one on the Billboard 200 wherein it accumulated more than 500,000 sales. It also became part of several album chart records conducted by some of the music organization from different part of the world.

His success in the world of music has proven that he is one of the most popular singers of the time. He has a unique way of attracting his fans compare to other singers. However, this might change because of his recent interview from the Playboy Magazine. Many reacted on how he answered some of the question especially when he was asked “Do black women throw themselves to you?” His controversial answer to the question has affected not only the black women but also other individuals.

According to John Mayer, he is not attracted to black women because he only chooses to date white women. There’s nothing really wrong with that because we are entitled with our own choice but what’s wrong with his answer is that it seems that he has too much confidence. He also uttered that his sex organ was meant for white women alone.

Although for some he was just making funny expression but a lot of people see it as very offensive not only for the black women but also to other people. He may have a good voice and talent but he surely doesn’t know how to answer questions politely. His opinion on the question maybe honest but he used it in a wrong way.
