6.1 Magnitude Quake Struck Haiti Again

An aftershock hit Haiti with magnitude 6.1 on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:03:44 UTC. The distance of the source is about 60 km (35 miles) WSW of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The latest earthquake have shaken the buildings and sent people running out the streets.
Tsunami warning center stated that the location of the tremor was far inland to generate any tidal waves in the Caribbean area.
Many humanitarian agencies including The United Nations, foreign governments, and Red Cross are sending emergency supplies, rescue teams and international aid. With the latest earthquake that hit Haiti, more help is needed in order to help Haiti recover from the damage. The UN’s humanitarian chief reminds us, “This is a major humanitarian crisis.”
